Ian Schrager’s Madison Square Park masterpiece is a sight to behold-and the experience starts before you’ve even set foot inside. Handsomely suited doormen and whiffs of the brand’s proprietary Le Labo scent greet both guests and passersby, and the cozy-chic rooms combined with Stephen Starr’s dining and drinking destinations mean you’ll never have to (or need to) leave the property.
Another Sean MacPherson hotel makes the list-as if we’d forget this Lower East Part gem. The Ludlow is the embodiment of the neighborhood, perfectly capturing its decor and vibe and serving both grit and glam with dining from the guys behind Carbone and Santina.
